Open Call – Mesh Festival 2026 Infrastructures of Care.

• Mesh Festival 2026 launches an open call that goes beyond artists and researchers: we actively welcome collaborations with technologists, collectives, NGOs, edu- cational and community initiatives, and all actors shaping urban futures. The festival explores how digital technologies transform cities and how hybrid urban spaces— physical, virtual, ecological, algorithmic—can become more just, accessible, and sustainable. We seek experimental, artistic, research and collaboratiove projects that rethink “care” as a social, ecological, and technological practice embedded in the urban fabric.
• Formats: Installations, screenings, performance, music/sound, indoor/outdoor/ public-space interventions, talks, panels, workshops (all audiences), mediation and outreach formats, NGO/institutional collaborations, hybrid and research-based projects.
• Eligibility & Conditions: Projects must be no older than two years and completed by 15 Sept 2026; individuals, collectives, and organizations may apply in English or German. All submissions are reviewed by the Mesh curatorial team, with no individ- ual feedback and no guarantee of participation. Fees are negotiated after selection based on a preliminary budget, with possible co-funding options; final presentation decisions lie with the festival. Submitted materials may be used for communication and documentation, performances may be recorded, and works may be archived (including with AI-based tools); all copyrights remain with the artists.
