Open Call: LIN Xiang Xiong – Annual Peace Prize

LIN Xiang Xiong, artist and patron, has made Peace the central theme of his work. I
n December 2025, the LIN Xiang Xiong Art Gallery will open in Penang, hosting artistic events and gatherings centered around Art and Peace.

Mr. LIN Xiang Xiong hopes to inspire artists to become artisans of peace.

It is in this spirit that he offers an annual Peace Prize.
The competition was launched in Paris and the first awarding of the Prize will be part of the opening of the Museum in Penang.This Prize is open to all adult artists, with no nationality restrictions.

 

To participate in the Prize:

  • The candidate must fill out the online form below to register, along with some biographical information.
  • The candidate must send a photograph of their proposed entry, along with a short statement of intent, to concours@museelinpenang.com by midnight on August 15.
  • The work must respond to the theme “Art for Peace.” All techniques and materials will be accepted, with a maximum size of 1.5 x 1.5 x 1.5 m.

 

A jury composed of five prominent figures from the art world will select three winners.

The first prize is €8,000 and the three winners will be invited to the museum’s opening in Penang, where their works will be displayed.

The prize ceremony will take place on September 13 at the Hôtel de l’Industrie in Paris, and the works of the three winners will be exhibited for this occasion.

The competition is organized by Area in collaboration with Connaissance des Arts and Beaux-Arts Magazine.

Dieser Preis steht allen Künstlern ohne Alters- oder Nationalitätsgrenze offen und zeichnet Werke aus, die die Idee von Kunst für den Frieden verkörpern.

Anmeldungen sind bis zum 15. August 2025 möglich und die Gewinner werden am 13. September 2025 im Hôtel de l’Industrie in Paris bekannt gegeben. Der erste Preis ist mit 8.000 € dotiert und die drei Preisträger haben die Ehre, in Paris und in Penang, Malaysia, in der LIN Xiang Xiong Art Gallery ausgestellt zu werden.
